Privy ran our lead capture form and we loved it. It did one job and did it well, bringing in new email subscribers without needing much attention from our team. I'd recommend it to any brand that wants a strong pop-up tool on its own.

What was disappointing

We only moved off Privy when we switched our email platform to Klaviyo. Between Klaviyo's sign-up forms and the sign-up unit in our SMS tool, a separate pop-up app didn't make sense anymore. Privy itself never gave us a reason to leave.

Segmentation and flow building are the parts that have held up. We run two Shopify Plus stores off one Klaviyo setup, and the segment builder handles the conditions we actually need - RFM-style value tiers, subscription status coming from Recharge, local delivery eligibility - without pulling in a developer every time. Deliverability has been steady across both lists. The flow editor is quick enough that testing a new winback or post-purchase sequence is a same-day job rather than a project, which matters when lifecycle email is carrying most of the retention revenue.

What was disappointing

Reporting is the weak spot. The API cannot report a historical profile or audience count, so anything we did not capture on the day is gone permanently - one missed sync leaves a hole in our own dashboards with no backfill path. On top of that, several report endpoints were retired in mid-2026 and quietly broke reporting we had built on them, which we only found when the numbers stopped moving. If I could improve one thing it would be making audience and campaign metrics queryable retroactively over an arbitrary date range, so reporting is reproducible instead of something you have to snapshot every day and hope you never miss one.
