AppStoreresearch was created from a simple belief I’ve carried with me throughout my entire career:
Commerce works best when software creators and software users collaborate, not from a distance, but through real conversations.
After spending 25 years in eCommerce, running my own brand, building an agency, and operating platforms, I kept noticing the same recurring gap in the Shopify ecosystem:
Developers needed real-world insights.
Merchants wanted a voice in shaping the tools they rely on every day.
Agencies could see patterns across thousands of stores.
But no one was meaningfully connecting these groups. So I decided to build a platform that does exactly that.
What began as a small, focused idea has grown into a thriving network of 3,000+ eCommerce brands and agency experts who openly share their experiences, challenges, and ideas with Shopify app developers.
