app store research started as a way to make it easier for app teams to talk to Shopify merchants.

But what became clear very quickly was this:

The real value wasn’t just in the research - it was in the conversations themselves.

After years in eCommerce - running brands, building an agency, and working closely with product teams - the same gap kept appearing:
