AI SUMMARY

Project Manager, Ecommerce (Shopify Plus) at a company that sells and supports drones, docks, payloads and software for public safety, utilities, construction, agriculture and inspection, on-site in Los Angeles, CA. Most of the business runs through Shopify Plus, and a services division is being built alongside it. You own a portfolio of cross-department projects from first conversation to live and adopted, including launching leasing and rentals, choosing an inventory system, connecting Shopify Plus to QuickBooks and ShipStation, adding Shopify B2B features, and finishing a theme migration. You write the roadmap within the first week, run two-week sprints, and build much of the technical work yourself (theme and app changes, Shopify Flow, metafields, checkout, Zapier or API integrations). Fit if you have: hands-on Shopify Plus building, platform-to-CRM or accounting integration experience, Scrum with delivery responsibility, and end-to-end ownership of ambiguous multi-team projects. Pay: $140K-$160K.

Company sell and support drones, docks, payloads, and software for public safety, utilities, construction and survey, agriculture, and inspection. Most of our business runs through Shopify Plus, and we are building a services division alongside it.

What you will do

•Own a portfolio of cross-department projects from the first conversation to live and adopted. Current examples: launching leasing and rentals as a new way to buy from us, which touches sales, services, finance, logistics, and the web store; selecting and implementing an inventory management system; connecting Shopify Plus to QuickBooks and ShipStation so the data reconciles; standing up Shopify B2B features for payment terms and tax exemption; completing a theme migration.

•Turn a one-line request into a roadmap within the first week: scope, definition of done, dependencies, what you will build, what you need from others, owners, and dates. Keep it current so leadership can read status without a meeting.

•Build the technical work yourself where you can: theme and app changes, Shopify Flow, metafields, checkout, integrations through Zapier or the API. You will have a technical consultant and a solutions engineer to draw on, but you are the one accountable for the outcome.

•When a project is stuck, arrive with the diagnosis, the options, and a specific ask of a specific person. Not the problem.

•Run the work in sprints: a backlog, acceptance criteria, two-week increments, a review leadership can see. Bring the method.

•Hold other departments to their part of the project, clearly and early, while keeping the relationships working.

•Measure what shipped. A project is done when it is live, adopted, and the number it was meant to move has moved.

What we are looking for

Must have:

•You have personally built in Shopify Plus: theme code, apps, Shopify Flow, metafields, checkout, B2B features, and the Admin API or GraphQL. You can walk us through the last three things you built, and in the second interview you will diagnose a problem in a live store.

•You have moved data between an e-commerce platform and a CRM, fulfillment, accounting, or support system, and you know where those integrations break.

•You have run Scrum as the person responsible for delivery, not only as a facilitator: sprints, backlog, acceptance criteria, retros, shipped increments.

•You have taken an ambiguous, multi-team project from request to delivery against a roadmap you wrote, and you can describe what you built, what you needed from others, and when you asked for it.

Nice to have: Pipedrive, Zendesk, ShipStation, QuickBooks Online, PandaDoc, Rippling, or Asana administration; inventory system implementation; B2B or dealer commerce; financing or leasing integrations; JavaScript, SQL, or a scripting language.

Enterprise drone experience is not required. We will teach you the product. We cannot teach you to build in Shopify Plus or to own a project end to end.

How we work

We hire for four behaviors in every seat.

Urgency: you move at the speed the problem requires and say what you are trading off.

Agency: you take ownership of things that are not yet anyone’s job. Problem solving: you diagnose before you act, and you can work a problem you have never seen.

Prioritization: you know what to drop when you cannot do everything. For this seat, problem solving and agency are the two that decide it. We also expect accountability (you own outcomes, not status), clarity (a leader can act on your update in two minutes), and candor (you say early when something needs them, and exactly what).

Questions you can expect in the interview

Drawn from this posting. None of them repeat on another job.

1.You would own cross-department projects like launching leasing and rentals, which touches sales, services, finance, logistics and the web store. How would you map that project in the first week?
2.The posting says that when a project is stuck you arrive with the diagnosis, the options and a specific ask of a specific person. Tell us about a stuck project and what ask you made.
3.You would connect Shopify Plus to QuickBooks and ShipStation so the data reconciles. Where do those integrations most often break, and how do you find it?
4.The second interview asks you to diagnose a problem in a live store. What are the first three things you check, and why?
5.You would hold other departments to their part of a project while keeping relationships working. Give an example of how you did that when a deadline was at risk.
