TaxJar helps businesses manage sales tax compliance by automating sales tax calculations and filing.
Paying taxes is a critical part of managing your e-commerce business, but doing it right is complicated. TaxJar does the heavy lifting for you by automating your most tedious tasks, like accurately calculating sales tax rates, classifying products, and managing multi-state filing. Stripe acquired TaxJar in 2021 to help businesses better manage tax compliance. TaxJar and Stripe Tax are two separate products that address unique tax needs.

TaxJar’s automated sales tax calculations and filings have significantly reduced our manual workload and helped ensure compliance across multiple states. The Shopify integration is seamless, and we appreciate the detailed reporting that makes month-end reconciliations easier. Customer support has also been responsive and helpful when needed.

The user interface is difficult when trying to make manual adjustments.
