Automate the import of sales tax transactions with the Avalara Extractor.
A prerequisite for the installation of this app is that you are a current Avalara customer. The Avalara for Shopify Extractor automates the import of Shopify transactions to Avalara for use with any Avalara Returns products. Once connected, the Extractor obtains daily transaction data for automated sales tax reporting and returns filing. Using the Avalara for Shopify Extractor eliminates the manual effort required to import transaction data to help automate the filing of your sales tax returns

Nothing really, but haven't found a better option.
What was disappointing
Originally, Shopify stated Avalara was their preferred tax app partner, however, when taxes weren't being calculated correctly, Shopify would blame Avalara and Avalara would blame Shopify without any resolution.

It files sales tax and it does it better than many other solutions out there, but the UI/UX and support could be much better than they are.
What was disappointing
Avalara screwed up some filings for us when we met a threshold which required quarterly filing instead of yearly filing. Still working on fixing this and it's a massive headache.
