We’re passionate about designing and delivering top-notch digital experiences for our clients — and their customers — and helping them create efficiencies using data and technology. But what’s most important about us is that we have a diverse team of experts all dedicated to getting clients from goals to outcomes — and that’s where you come in.
As an Senior Shopify Developer, you’ll be joining our team of talented experts. The right candidate will possess the following experience:
Shopify Platform
Platform administration and expertise. Serve as the internal subject matter expert across Shopify POS and eCommerce. Own store configuration, users, permissions, channel settings, and the organization, store, and location structures that govern how a retail company operates.
Health, currency, and escalation. Monitor platform health and stability, own escalation with Shopify support and account management, and track platform and vendor API version currency (Storefront API, Admin API) with the upgrade cadence for affected vendors.
Architecture voice. Advise on headless architecture, rendering approach, Functions, Flow, Payments and Adyen, and POS peripherals. Serve alongside the SI partner on configuration and extension decisions, and represent this workstream in Architecture Review Board.
Govern Apps, Extensions, and Vendor Integrations
Governance framework. Own evaluation criteria, security review, approval, and lifecycle retirement for apps, custom extensions, and third-party integrations, with recommendations based on functional fit, performance impact, cost, and strategic alignment.
Live inventory. Maintain a current inventory of everything installed or connected, including third-party scripts and network hosts, attributing every host to a named vendor, contract, and data processing agreement, or removing it.
Credential lifecycle. Own vendor facing API credentials, including rotation policy and moving vendor calls behind first-party facade endpoints so no credential ships to a browser.
Storefront Security and Data Integrity
Security policy. Author and maintain storefront wide Content Security Policy, HSTS configuration, and sub resource integrity for third-party scripts, and own consent management so advertising, identity, and analytics scripts fire only after a valid consent decision.
Vendor data handling. Coordinate with configurator, session replay, analytics, and personalization vendors on data handling, storage, and input masking commitments.
Master data and order integrity. Reconcile vendor side product and configuration master data against the PIM toward a single source of truth for configuration rules, and partner with order and integration engineering to confirm vendor originated data maps correctly into the target order model.
ITGC and Control Compliance (Shopify, Vercel, Teifi)
Access controls. Co-own user provisioning and deprovisioning, privileged and administrative role definitions, and periodic user access reviews across Shopify, Vercel, and the Teifi delivered applications, including agency, SI, and vendor accounts.
Change management. Confirm that code and configuration changes across these platforms follow the approved change process, with documented approval, testing evidence, and separation between who develops a change and who promotes it to production.
Evidence and remediation. Serve as the platform contact for internal audit and SOX testing on these systems, maintain the evidence trail (access review sign off, deployment records, app and extension approvals), and drive remediation of identified deficiencies with IT and the control owners.
