The integration takes way too long. Turning on features and modules also takes weeks.

What exceeded expectations
I was a beta user of their Merchandising and their Search tool. I love the analytics for the product reports but I wished that they could do custom time frames as well as a compare feature.
What was disappointing
They are not a true AB testing platform and you need to know how to code. Implementing 5 changes means that I have to create 5 placement & campaigns and then stitch it together.

What exceeded expectations
It's core product of product recommendations has served us well over 4+ years. It's now heavily integrated into our themes and using it day-to-day is easy. Most of the time the recommended products are what I'd expect + perform well
What was disappointing
On the odd occasion where products recs don't output what you'd expect, it's very difficult to manually intervene. There are some workarounds which let you manually put products in certain positions but it's incredibly cumbersome and more often isn't exactly what you need. There isn't enough manual control, Nosto expect you to let the product do all the work which isn't suitable in all situations
