What exceeded expectations
I set up our wholesale catalog and storefront on Faire. The bulk editor was the best part. I could update things like diet tags, ingredients, shelf life and storage across the whole catalog at once instead of product by product. Multi-user access meant more than one of us could work the account, and for small retailers the case-quantity buying experience is simple, a lot like shopping on Amazon.
What was disappointing
The Shopify connection only imports your catalog once. Later changes to product info, variants or images don't sync, and deleting a product in Shopify doesn't remove it from Faire, so everything has to be updated twice. Product weights also didn't line up between Shopify and Faire's price sheet and had to be fixed by hand. And the storefront branding, like the hero image and logo, was locked until the store went live, so we couldn't check how it looked to buyers before launch. If I could change one thing, it would be a Shopify sync that keeps both catalogs matched.

Faire represents around 60% of our sales so having an easy integration with our Shopify store is crucial to being able to fulfill orders easily. The App is easily to set up and get started quickly. I like the fact that you can customize certain aspects of the integration such as price and stock. So far no major issues with the App and the orders come through quickly and easily.
What was disappointing
Sometimes there are issues with the product sync and the Faire API not recognizing specific SKUs. In these instances, we've had to manually create the product listings or find a workaround such as adding Faire tags to each product, which should not be necessary. The only other annoying part is that the tracking links don't automatically ping back from our 3PL/Shopify, as far as I know, so we have to manually upload the links.
