What exceeded expectations
Booster SEO and Image Optimizer has been an absolute game-changer for improving my Shopify store’s performance. From the moment I installed it, I could tell this app meant business. The automated SEO audits and fixes are a lifesaver—who has time to manually tweak meta tags and alt text for hundreds of products? Not me. The image optimization feature is pure gold, shrinking my images faster than I can say "Google ranking" while keeping the quality sharp. And let’s talk about the speed improvements—after running the optimizer, my website started loading so quickly it almost made me emotional. (Okay, maybe that’s a stretch, but it was close.) The app’s user-friendly interface is another highlight; even someone who doesn’t speak fluent “SEO-ese” can navigate it without getting lost. The live chat support is stellar too—helpful, friendly, and they even throw in a bit of humor, which I always appreciate. Booster SEO makes a potentially overwhelming task feel manageable and effective, and it’s definitely helped my store rank better and perform faster.
What was disappointing
While Booster SEO and Image Optimizer has been a big help, it’s not without its quirks. For starters, the app’s interface, while user-friendly, can feel a little simplistic for someone looking for advanced customization options. It’s kind of like wanting a Swiss Army knife but getting a really sharp butter knife instead—it works, but you know it could do more. Another thing is that while the automation is great, there are times when it doesn’t catch every SEO issue, which means you still need to keep an eye out for stray errors or missed optimizations. I also noticed that the app’s bulk optimization can take a while to process if you have a lot of images, so patience is required (which isn’t my strong suit). Lastly, the app’s pricing for premium features might feel a bit high for smaller stores or those just starting out. That said, for what it offers, it’s still a solid investment, even if there’s room for improvement. Booster SEO gets the job done and then some, even if it doesn’t quite deliver a perfect "SEO nirvana."
