Tools found in the post

Tools the company mentioned in the job description.

Is this job right for you?

Five requirements pulled from the posting.

1.Strong commercial experience in senior backend engineering.
2.Hands-on Shopify custom app development and integration experience.
3.A solid understanding of APIs, backend architecture and data exchange.
4.Confidence working independently and communicating with technical and business stakeholders.

Questions you can expect in the interview

Drawn from this posting. None of them repeat on another job.

1.You would take technical ownership of a new product from the start. Which decisions do you make on day one knowing you cannot easily undo them?
2.Shopify custom apps plus integrations across several platforms, with data flowing into BigQuery. How do you design that so a failed sync is visible rather than silent?
3.Shopify to SAP integration is mentioned. What makes integrating with an ERP like SAP harder than it looks?
4.The role asks you to identify delivery risks and clarify requirements, not just build. Tell us about a risk you raised that nobody wanted to hear.
5.You would work independently and talk to both technical and business stakeholders. How do you explain why something will take three weeks instead of three days?
