AI SUMMARY

eCommerce Solution Analyst / Strategist (Shopify Plus) at Makro Agency (eCommerce growth agency and Shopify Premier Partner), Canada - Remote, Full-time. You own the "how" of our Shopify projects. Stack: Shopify Plus, Shopify, NetSuite. Fit if you have: 3+ yrs experience, Shopify Plus. Salary not stated.

Design how Shopify Plus, its app ecosystem and connected systems work together to deliver what our clients need.

Makro Agency is an eCommerce growth agency and Shopify Premier Partner. We help B2B and DTC brands scale through high-performing Shopify experiences, custom integrations and digital strategy. We're a remote-first, senior team that combines strategy, design and technology to deliver measurable results for our clients.

The role

You'll own the "how" of our Shopify projects. Once we understand what a client needs, you'll design how Shopify and Shopify Plus, apps, custom development, and back-office systems fit together to deliver it, and make sure what we build holds up in the real world.

You'll work across DTC, B2B, and international builds, platform migrations, and ERP integrations, partnering closely with our Business Analyst / Product Owner, designers, and technical leads. You'll be the person who knows what Shopify can do natively, where an app fits, and when something needs to be built.

This is a client-facing agency role across multiple eCommerce projects, not ownership of a single brand's platform.

What you'll do

  • Assess platform fit and map client requirements to native Shopify and Shopify Plus features, apps, or custom development.

  • Design solutions for B2B, Shopify Markets and internationalization, POS, subscriptions, and multi-store setups.

  • Define integration requirements with ERP, PIM, OMS, and 3PL systems such as NetSuite, SAP, and Microsoft Dynamics 365, including data mapping and sync rules.

  • Scope and plan migrations from other platforms to Shopify, covering data, redirects, and functionality.

  • Evaluate and recommend Shopify apps, and identify gaps that need custom builds.

  • Write functional specifications, solution documentation, and acceptance criteria.

  • Work with technical leads on feasibility, estimates, and trade-offs.

  • Support QA, UAT, and launch, and troubleshoot functional issues after go-live.

  • Explain technical trade-offs clearly to non-technical clients.

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience delivering Shopify or Shopify Plus projects (required).

  • Agency, consultancy, or systems-integrator experience delivering eCommerce projects for external clients (required).

  • Strong working knowledge of the Shopify admin, native features, Shopify Markets, B2B, checkout extensibility, metafields, Shopify Flow, and the app ecosystem.

  • Experience on at least one integration or platform migration project.

  • Comfort reading API documentation and discussing data flows with developers. You don't need to code.

  • Clear, structured writing for specs and solution documentation.

  • Confidence presenting recommendations and pushing back on clients when needed.

Nice to have

  • Migration experience from Magento (Adobe Commerce), Salesforce Commerce Cloud, BigCommerce, or WooCommerce.

  • Hands-on work with ERP integrations such as NetSuite, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics 365.

  • Solution design for B2B or international Shopify Plus stores.

Perks and benefits

  • Remote-first culture. Work from anywhere.

  • Competitive salary and benefits package.

  • Competitive paid-time-off policy.

  • Continued education and professional-development opportunities.
