Job Details

Have you helped bring a DTC brand or Shopify business to life—and want the chance to do it again?

We’re looking for a DTC Ecommerce Manager who can connect the creative ambition of a new brand with the execution required to build a successful digital business. You’ll help prepare a new consumer business for launch, own its day-to-day Shopify operation, and coordinate marketing that moves customers from discovery to purchase to repeat engagement.

This is a role for someone who enjoys both planning and doing. You might spend the morning diagnosing a conversion bottleneck, the afternoon shaping an integrated campaign brief, and the next day making sure product pages, lifecycle flows, and launch assets are ready to go.

You’ll have support from established e-commerce and marketing colleagues, including assistance with the Shopify build. You’ll bring the hands-on experience, clear priorities, and follow-through needed to turn that support into a launch-ready business.

What You Bring:

  • 6+ years of combined e-commerce and marketing experience, ideally within beauty, fashion, or another consumer DTC category.

  • Hands-on experience building and launching a Shopify store. You can explain what you personally implemented, how you prepared for go-live, and what you owned afterward.

  • At least one full-cycle DTC brand launch, with direct responsibility for revenue and site performance.

  • Strong working knowledge of Klaviyo, lifecycle marketing, CRM, and email/SMS programs.

  • Experience planning and executing product launches or integrated campaigns across multiple marketing channels.

  • A commercial mindset and confidence using performance data to identify opportunities and make decisions.

  • Genuine interest in beauty, fashion, and pop culture, with an understanding of how trends influence consumer behavior.

  • Comfort working independently in a lean environment where priorities evolve and everyone contributes.

  • Strong organization, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.

  • Enthusiasm for a hands-on individual contributor role with significant ownership and no direct reports.

  • Agency experience is welcome if you have directly helped build and launch consumer DTC businesses and can demonstrate hands-on Shopify and commercial ownership.

If you’ve built it, launched it, and grown it—and are ready to bring that experience to a new venture—we’d love to connect.

Questions you can expect in the interview

Drawn from this posting. None of them repeat on another job.

1.The posting is about launching a new DTC business for an established consumer products company. What do you build first, and what do you deliberately leave until after the first customers?
2.You would create the digital storefront, customer journeys and marketing foundation from nothing. What decisions made in week one are painful to undo in month six?
3.An established company starting DTC already has retail or wholesale relationships. How do you launch direct without creating a conflict with those channels?
4.The role is described as connecting brand storytelling with commercial results. Tell us about a campaign where the story worked and the numbers did not, and what you learned.
5.You would be shaping the business before the first customer checks out. How would you know, three months in, whether it is working?
