Company Description
E&E Co., Ltd. (DBA JLA HOME) is modernizing its systems and building AI-enabled operations to support approximately $1 billion in annual revenue. Our business spans wholesale and retail, online and offline channels, B2B, B2C, D2C, and multiple marketplace storefronts.
We are looking for an E-commerce & AI Program Manager who combines hands-on e-commerce experience with the ability to lead cross-functional programs. This is an opportunity to improve how an established business operates, serves customers, and grows through practical applications of AI and automation.
About the Role
You will have two connected responsibilities: run and improve assigned e-commerce channels, starting with our direct-to-consumer storefronts, and lead cross-functional initiatives that modernize business workflows through AI, automation, and new systems.
You will work closely with business teams, IT, Finance, supply chain, external partners, and our oversea teams to translate priorities into clear requirements, coordinated execution, and measurable results. The role requires someone who can move comfortably between day-to-day operations, business analysis, and program delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Own e-commerce performance. Manage and improve assigned channels, including product catalog and content, merchandising, promotions, pricing execution, conversion, and customer experience. Monitor traffic, conversion rate, average order value, revenue per visit, and contribution margin, with financial definitions aligned with Finance.
Redesign workflows with AI and automation. Map processes across product listings, content creation, advertising, inventory, order management, and customer service. Simplify workflows, identify practical opportunities for automation, and partner with IT and process owners to implement and improve solutions.
Lead cross-functional programs. Manage assigned systems-modernization and AI-adoption initiatives from discovery through launch and stabilization. Define scope, owners, milestones, resource needs, risks, and dependencies; maintain an integrated delivery plan; and keep teams accountable for execution.
Connect business needs with technical delivery. Translate operational problems into clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Coordinate business teams, IT, vendors, and overseas colleagues; lead business-side user acceptance testing; and manage scope changes and decisions.
Support timely decisions. Surface issues early with clear options, tradeoffs, recommendations, and the decision required. Communicate progress and risks clearly to leadership and follow decisions through to completion.
Verify business results. Establish baselines and measure adoption, revenue or margin impact, cycle time, quality, and productivity. Validate outcomes with Finance and process owners, accounting for implementation costs, subscriptions, ongoing support, and human review time.
Make new ways of working sustainable. Develop playbooks and standard operating procedures, coordinate training, and support process owners through rollout. Retire redundant manual steps after replacement workflows have been validated and adopted.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, information systems, engineering, or a related field.
At least four years of relevant experience combining hands-on e-commerce operations with cross-functional project or program management.
Direct responsibility for an e-commerce channel or substantial operating workstream, with measurable improvements in commercial or operational performance.
Demonstrated delivery of at least one cross-functional technology, process-improvement, or systems-implementation initiative.
Hands-on experience with Shopify or a comparable e-commerce platform, digital analytics, and performance reporting. Working understanding of acquisition, conversion, merchandising, inventory, fulfillment, and channel economics.
Regular use of AI tools and experience building and deploying at least one AI-assisted or automated workflow in actual business operations. Ability to evaluate output quality, establish appropriate human review, and follow company data-use requirements.
Strong analytical skills, advanced Excel or Google Sheets proficiency, and a practical understanding of P&L and contribution margin. Ability to perform your own analysis and turn findings into actions.
A structured approach to requirements, planning, issue resolution, testing, and rollout, using tools such as Jira, Asana, Smartsheet, or Microsoft Project.
Strong written communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to influence without direct authority and coordinate teams across time zones.
Ability to work on-site in Fremont, California.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in home furnishings, consumer products, wholesale, or retail.
Experience with Amazon Seller or Vendor Central, Walmart Marketplace, or other major marketplaces.
Familiarity with Google Analytics 4, Search Console, SEO tools, and email-marketing platforms such as Klaviyo.
Experience with automation tools such as Zapier, Make, n8n, or Power Automate, and the ability to collaborate with engineers on LLM-based solutions.
Working knowledge of SQL, Power BI, or Tableau.
Experience with process mapping, Lean, Six Sigma, or another structured improvement method.
MBA, PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum, or a relevant certification.
Working proficiency in Mandarin Chinese.
Hiring Levels
We are hiring at two levels and will determine the appropriate title based on experience, scope of ownership, and demonstrated results:
E-commerce & AI Program Manager: Typically four to six years of relevant experience, including ownership of an e-commerce channel or workstream and successful delivery of cross-functional projects.
Senior E-commerce & AI Program Manager: Typically six or more years of relevant experience, including ownership of e-commerce business KPIs or P&L and leadership of a multi-team transformation or systems-implementation program. Senior candidates should be able to lead complex programs independently, mentor colleagues, and represent the business with vendors and senior leadership.
