Growth Lead | Ecommerce & Digital
Australian Lifestyle & Apparel Brand
Gold Coast | Hybrid | Circa $140,000–$165,000 + Super
This independent Australian lifestyle brand has reached the point where its founders need someone to take ownership of ecommerce and help shape what comes next.
They’ve built a business with personality. Distinctive product, a strong sense of community and a different take on a category that has tended to do things the same way for years. There’s a clear identity behind it, and ambition to take it much further internationally.
Now they need someone who can turn that potential into consistent, profitable growth.
You’ll take responsibility for the direct-to-consumer channel across Australia, the US and the UK, working directly with the leadership team. That means understanding the numbers, deciding where the opportunities are and getting stuck into the work yourself.
For someone who wants a bigger say in how a brand grows, there’s plenty here to get interested in.
What you’ll be doing
Own ecommerce performance across the three markets, building trading plans, forecasts and priorities.
Get into Meta and Google Ads yourself, managing campaigns, budgets, testing and optimisation.
Improve the Shopify experience, from landing pages and merchandising to promotions and conversion.
Develop Klaviyo campaigns, flows and segmentation to bring customers back.
Give the creative team clear direction on what’s working, what needs refreshing and what to test next.
Diagnose performance issues and act on them, keeping the leadership team clear on the results and the plan.
It’s a broad role, as these jobs tend to be in a small, growing business. Some days will involve planning the next quarter. Others will mean working out why conversion has dipped or getting a campaign back on track. You’ll need to enjoy both.
What you’ll bring
The three priorities are hands-on paid media, an understanding of ecommerce conversion, and the ability to build retention.
You might come from performance marketing and have gradually taken on more of the ecommerce channel. Or perhaps you’re already running ecommerce for a consumer brand and still enjoy being in the ad accounts.
Either way, they’re looking for:
Practical Meta and Google Ads experience, with confidence making decisions about spend and performance.
An understanding of Shopify and what helps turn visitors into customers.
Experience with CRM and lifecycle marketing, ideally using Klaviyo.
Commercial judgement and examples of problems you’ve identified, changes you’ve made and results you’ve improved.
The confidence to put a plan in front of founders and take responsibility for delivering it.
You don’t need to be equally strong at everything. There’s room for someone with a clear strength in one discipline and the curiosity to develop across the others. You do need to be comfortable taking ownership and doing the work.
Experience with an ecommerce-led consumer brand would be particularly useful. Apparel, fashion, lifestyle, footwear or beauty could all translate well.
About them and the culture....
The business is based on the Gold Coast, with hybrid working and a preference for being together around three to four days a week.
The culture is relaxed, with clear expectations around delivering. School runs, family commitments and having a life outside work are understood by the people running it. You’ll be trusted to organise your time and keep your commitments.
