E-commerce Trading Executive

Manchester, on site | Full time, permanent | £30,000 to £35,000

Factra is a UK manufacturer of e-liquids, vape products, nicotine pouches, CBD and health food supplements. We manufacture in Manchester and trade direct to consumer through a portfolio of brand websites:

vapoholic.co.uk, fitimins.com, & cbdcalm.co.uk

We are recruiting an E-commerce Trading Executive to support the commercial performance of that portfolio. The role combines site operations, trading analysis and conversion optimisation.

The role

You will be responsible for the operational accuracy of our brand websites and for identifying and delivering improvements to conversion performance.

The position sits across three areas. Site operations and product data integrity. Trading analysis and reporting. Conversion rate optimisation and onsite testing.

You will report to the Head of E-commerce and Digital and work alongside our marketing, production and customer service functions.

Responsibilities

Maintain product data across all brand sites, including titles, descriptions, imagery, attributes, variants and category taxonomy.

Manage availability and stock accuracy onsite. Escalate low stock lines to production and delist or substitute discontinued products.

Execute the promotional calendar. Configure discount codes, bundles and multibuy mechanics, build campaign landing pages, and complete pre-launch quality assurance on all promotional activity.

Deliver onsite merchandising across homepage, category pages, internal search results and cross-sell and upsell placements.

Produce weekly trading reports in GA4, covering revenue, sessions, conversion rate, average order value and revenue per session, with commentary on variance against prior period.

Analyse the conversion funnel to identify drop-off points, and translate findings into prioritised recommendations.

Plan and execute A/B tests across product detail pages, basket and checkout. Document hypothesis, method and commercial outcome for each test.

Conduct routine site quality assurance covering broken links, failed transactions, page load performance and checkout errors.

Contribute proposals for trading and conversion improvement, supported by data.

Requirements

Two to four years in an e-commerce role with direct responsibility for a live trading site.

Working knowledge of at least one major e-commerce platform. Our portfolio runs on Shopify, WooCommerce and Magento, so cross-platform adaptability is more relevant than depth in any single system.

Competence in GA4 and Excel or Google Sheets, sufficient to interrogate data and account for performance variance rather than report it.

Demonstrable accuracy and attention to detail. This role works on live commercial sites where errors are immediately customer facing.

An evidence-led approach to conversion optimisation, with a preference for testing over assumption.

Practical use of AI tools in your day to day work.

Desirable

Working HTML and CSS. Experience with Klaviyo or comparable email platforms. Exposure to structured A/B testing tools. Background in a regulated or FMCG category.

Package and progression

Salary of £30,000 to £35,000, dependent on experience.

Defined progression to E-commerce Manager as the department expands.

Company pension scheme, 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays, and staff discount across the brand portfolio.

Commercial responsibility from the outset, with direct access to decision makers and a short approval chain.

The role is based in our Manchester office, five days per week.
