Purpose of the Role:
Havaianas is building its North America DTC team in New York City, and the DTC Manager is a foundational hire to support and grow these operations. This role sits at the intersection of ecommerce operations and retail partner management, ensuring the brand shows up consistently, beautifully, and commercially across every direct consumer touchpoint.
Unlike a traditional ecommerce manager, this role operates within a distributor model — meaning fulfillment and customer service accountability sits with our distribution and fulfillment partners, while brand experience, platform ownership, CRM, and consumer lifecycle strategy remain firmly in-house. You will be the connective tissue between Havaianas, our distributor and their ecommerce fulfillment partner, our retail store partner, and our internal brand, planning and tech teams.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Ecommerce Platform & Site Operations
• Own day-to-day management of the Havaianas ecommerce platform, serving as the primary point of contact for the distributor, ecommerce fulfillment partner, internal product team, and dev
team
• Lead site merchandising — product sequencing, seasonal storytelling, promotional cadence — ensuring brand marketing narratives are accurately and compellingly reflected online
• Partner with the brand marketing team to translate campaign briefs into site executions
• Drive SEO and GSO (Generative Search Optimization) performance through two workstr
eams:
◦ Technical SEO: partner with the dev team on site architecture, metadata, structured data, and crawlability
◦ Content SEO: own on-site content optimization to drive organic traffic growth
CRM, Loyalty & Consumer Lifecycle
• Own the CRM platform end-to-end, including campaign execution, audience segmentation, lifecycle flow design, and performance reporting
• Lead loyalty program strategy and day-to-day operations, ensuring program mechanics support acquisition, retention, and brand affinity goals
• Develop and manage consumer lifecycle communications across email and other owned channels
• Partner with the DTC Director to develop and maintain the CX strategy, partnering with the fulfillment operator on post-purchase communications and service standards
Partner & Distributor Management
• Serve as the primary day-to-day liaison between Havaianas and the distributor and ecommerce fulfillment/3PL partner
• Hold partners accountable to brand standards, operational SLAs, and shared grow
th KPIs• Coordinate and set up digital marketing campaigns on behalf of the distributor, acting as the internal liaison between the distributor and the brand’s agency partner to ensure campaigns are properly briefed, approved, and executed across relevant c
hannels• Escalate and resolve issues related to fulfillment, inventory, or consumer-facing operations
Retail Partner Management
• Own the day-to-day commercial and operational relationship with Havaianas’ branded retail store partner (currently 2 doors in Florida, with planned multi-door expansion in 2027 and beyond); this scope is expected to grow significantly
• Coordinate on product availability, assortment planning, replenishment, and sell-through per
formance
• Own digital co-marketing coordination with the retail partner; partner with the brand marketing team in support of broader campaign execution, serving as the operational bridge between the brand team and the retail
partner
• Handle customer service escalations surfaced by the retail partner team
Demand Planning & Forecasting
• Develop and maintain demand plans by digital marketing channel, translating consumer signals and campaign calendars into actionable inventory and fulfillment forecasts
• Collaborate with planning and ops functions, product team, and partners (distributor and retail partner) to ensure supply aligns with ecommerce and retail demand
• Continuously refine forecast accuracy based on performance data
Analytics & Reporting
• Own the DTC reporting cadence: site performance, CRM metrics, retail partner KPIs, and SEO/organic traffic trends
• Surface actionable insights to the DTC Director and cross-functional stakeholders
• Monitor channel health and flag risks or opportunities proactively
Creative Coordination & Brand Stewardship
• Own the creative brief process for all site and CRM campaigns — translating marketing objectives into clear, actionable briefs for the creative team (currently an external agency; anticipated to transition to in-house Sr. Graphic Designer and Copywriter)
• Serve as the primary point of contact with the creative team, managing campaign deliverables, timelines, and feedback cycles end-to-end
• Provide a thorough first round of creative review before work is presented to the DTC Director or cross-functional teams — this role is expected to catch issues, flag inconsistencies with brand standards, and deliver consolidated, actionable feedback to the agency
• Present finalized creative to relevant cross-functional stakeholders (primarily brand marketing), collect feedback, and provide clear summaries back to the creative team
• Proactively gather creative inspiration — trends, competitor references, cultural moments — and share with the creative team to inform campaign concepts and ensure work stays fresh and brand-right
What you bring:
Experience & Skills
• 3–5 years of experience in ecommerce, DTC, or digital operations — experience in a distributor or partner-led model is a strong plus
• Hands-on experience managing Shopify is required; experience with other ecommerce platforms is a plus
• Proficiency in CRM management (campaign execution, segmentation, lifecycle flows) — experience with any ESP and SMS platform is required; Klaviyo and Attentive experience is a plus. Experience with loyalty programs is a plus
• Familiarity with SEO and GSO (Generative Search Optimization) concepts — you don’t need to be a technical expert, but you must be able to manage the conversation with the dev team, interpret their recommendations, and hold them accountable to deliverables
• Experience building demand plans by channel; comfortable working with data to produce and defend forecasts
• Background in digital marketing — paid and owned channels — with the ability to brief, coordinate, and evaluate campaigns; this role serves as the internal bridge between the distributor and the brand’s marketing function
• Proven track record managing external partners or vendors with accountability for performance outcomes
